POLTERGEIST: A Baltimore Festival Will Find Catharsis in the Occult

Updated: Oct 1

To bewitch Baltimore with a cornucopia of wonders, variety festival POLTERGEIST will incorporate the occult into catharsis this November 1, 2025. POLTERGEIST brings a motely procession of activities, art, and eight viciously original music acts to downtown venue Le Mondo. Maryland artists Alicia Astronomo, Alana McCarthy Light, and Avery Reeves-Williams organized the event to fundraise for mental health charities.

The latter lineup embodies eclecticism by transcending sound barriers in true poltergeist nature. To get the night moving, psychedelic jazz band Spark Isle takes the stage at 7pm, followed by singer Kiing's resonant RNB tunes. Then, artist Adele Marie plays haunting experimental folk, leading into FANTAZMA bilingually fusing post-hardcore and Latin rhythms. Punk act RenRiot will continue that energy, and after, sludge band Worm Wagon will twist souls. Next, the goth grunge Anxiety Monster takes the stage, preceding conscious rapper Wizzle's performance. Indie pop's iLoveKanay and untraditional EDM DJs Molly BTB Edessa complete POLTERGEIST's noisy journey, with the absolutely stacked event ending at 1am.

A paint splatter rage room, a tarot booth with Mother Bishop, a self-portraiture session with Makayla Castillo, a creative writing workshop with Staton Elisabet,  a healing orgonite pyramid, a scribbling-friendly cardboard haunted house, and an ephemeral gallery all offer alternative approaches to healing the mind - again, at POLTERGEIST, the occult will meet catharsis. The festival marketplace, presented right on time for gift-giving season, includes vendors Beane Beane, Dusk's Doorstep, Alchemical Technology & Books, Hallowed Pearl Tattoo, Cait Phebus, and The Filthy Shop. Baltimore artist Frank Grinds created POLTERGEIST's flier.

Buy tickets for POLTERGEIST on Le Mondo's website. SÉANCE, another festival by Alicia, Alana, and Avery, will take place Saturday, November 8, 2025 from 6-11pm at the 2640 Space.
