Alightenment refers to Alana McCarthy Light's eclectic anthology. A Maryland-based artist, Alana's visionary pursuits initiated with writing, which grew to include prose, poetry, and journalism. Her linework drawings transformed into her ecofriendly screen printing venture, which, moreover, expanded into tie-dyed, rust-dyed, and upcycled fashion. She started organizing events in 2022 and continues to do so with a specialty in unique festivals that include a kitchen sink of themes, workshops, and performances. Her photography has an emphasis on composition techniques and captures everything from portraits to performance to news. Creative collaboration composes the essence of Alightenment, with Alana always open to working with fellow artists.
